Enough is Enough

This post expresses my annoyance for an issue that has spiraled out of control and seems to be getting much attention. I’m appalled that the issue of homosexuality which was once swept under the carpet has become so prevalent in Jamaica; homosexuals have started to creep out of their shells, the media is giving much light to the issue, persons are now supporting this unnatural lifestyle and the entire situation is a complete mess on our island.

While I understand that homosexuality isn’t a disease and a male can’t catch the ‘being gay’ sickness, repealing the buggery law will only improve the chances of more males practicing this unnatural lifestyle. I can’t fathom how a man actually penetrates another man’s anus! What sort or pleasure or satisfaction do men get out of this? I do believe that homosexuality is a sickness as only a mentally ill man could possibly engage in such activity.

Then there’s the issue of constitutional rights. We all are entitled to love who we want and we’re also entitled to freedom of speech/expression. In this case, its contradictory that homosexuals would want ‘straight people’ to embrace and tolerate their way of life which in turn is a breech of our constitutional right to ‘freedom of expression’. Homosexuals have NO right to foist their strange way of life on the rest of us or use it as a ploy to extract favours and concessions from us or from the State.

There comes a time when we’ve had enough of a particular thing. The issue of homosexuality has been trending in Jamaica for a while now and I’m tired of it. Its not my intention to take away homosexuals ‘right’ to go to bed with each other; but do it in the privacy of your homes, cars, in the bushes or someplace else where ‘straight’ people won’t be interfered by your acts.
