Isn’t A Podcast the same as downloading Audio from a Website…Big Deal?

So one might wonder whats so special about a podcast when I could just download the audio file that I want? Do you think its the same thing? Nah! During my little “research” I discovered the difference which I’d like to share with you….

While you spend time searching for an audio file that you want to download, a podcast is much easier wherein the files come to you through syndication instead of you going through a search.

You subscribe to podcasts in the same way you subscribe to blogs. Podcasts are usually distributed through a blog and provided your feed reading software handles podcasts you are made aware when new episodes become available for download. These files can then be listened to on your computer or you can transfer them to your iPods or mp3 players to listen to later. Some feeds are configured to download and transfer the podcast directly to your portable player automatically so you can digest the content at any time.

As simple as A-B-C!!!
