My Problem with the US Currency in Jamaica

During my many visits to the tourist spots in Jamaica, I have come to I realize that all products and services are quoted in US currency without the equivalent/converted price. While these places are catering to mostly internationals, provisions should be made for locals as well. Am I to believe that these tourist attractions aren’t catering for us Jamaicans?
When I visit other countries, items are listed in their currency, which is understandable, because I’m in their country. Yet in Jamaica, I’m forced to calculate from US currency to the Jamaican dollar. These business owners need to realize that while foreigners are their main target audience, locals and ‘dry-land tourists’ like myself do enjoy these places as well so they need to cater to both groups. This is Jamaica, not the US so kindly post our currency alongside the US dollar prices.
