Our Government’s “Love for the Poor” is Doing more Harm than Good

After reading an article captioned ‘Suicide Messages’ in today’s Observer, it dawned on me that the government & opposition’s unrelenting ‘love for the poor’ seems to be driving the poor crazy rather than making them happy. Its a serious situation when a country’s economy has deteriorated to the point where the poor have no choice but to contemplate suicide.

Many have caused themselves to end up in the mess they’re in while others simply had no choice. But whatever it is, they all need help. We can’t dispute the fact that many children in this country are dying of starvation. How will hungry children learn? One thing leads to the next; hungry children can’t learn therefore they’ll leave school uneducated and of course resort to violence to make ‘ends meet’.

On behalf of the poorer class, I use this medium to educated our members of parliament who reside in swanky communities and who eat lavish meals everyday that mere talk about your love for the poor can’t put a night’s dinner on their tables so stop this rubbish!
